Layers can contain map features: placemarks, lines, tracks, areas, photos, and schema. You have the ability to link layers to a map directly from the Layers tab, including on import. Additionally, you can also export all of your layers and map features at once through the Layers tab.
From the Layers tab, you can easily manage your layers and map features through a series of tools including:
- View what map a layer is linked to
- View what types of features a layer contains
- View the number of features a layer contains
- Add a layer
- Search layers/map features
- Import layers (option to link with map(s) on import, or just import)
- Export all layers at once
- Edit layer information
- Edit map feature information
- Move layers/features

I am trying to link a layer that has features to a geo pdf file that I imported. I seem to have done this successfully before, since I have other downloaded, geo pdf maps that are linked to this layer.
I have gone through a process that seems like it should be right, yet, when I get to the map again, no layer features.
Thank you for your comment, Jon. This process is outlined in another article, but for ease of use - when you tap the "Add Layer" icon, you will be prompted with several choices, one of which is "Link to Maps". This will allow you to select which map(s) you wish to link the layer to before you import it.
