pdf not georeferenced in Avenza

Good  morning,

I use QGIS 2.16, and saved map layout in pdf, but Avenza shows "not referenced".

How do I overcome this glitch please?

  Please make sure the saved and exported map is georeferenced and exported in a supported format. Supported formats can be found here - https://support.avenzamaps.com/hc/en-us/articles/4961897108628-Importing-maps-from-custom-locations. We can investigate further if you send the file to use to test. Please reach out to us via https://support.avenzamaps.com/hc/en-us/requests/new if you are able to send the map for us to test.
