Switching from one map to another in a collection

I have made a Collection folder with my Avenza app on my iPhone 12. I am using the geo-referenced pdf maps from the State of Iowa Dot ( https://iowadot.gov/maps/digital-maps/city-and-county-maps ). I have several of the county “City and County Maps” that I use to navigate while riding my motorcycle on the gravel and dirt roads. In the “City and County Maps” I use the color map ( https://iowadot.gov/maps/msp//pdf/story-co.pdf ) which shows the color coded roads. 

 

I would like to know how I can get the app to switch from one county map to the next. For example, I was riding recently and rode from Marion county ( https://iowadot.gov/maps/msp/pdf/marion-co.pdf ) into Monroe county ( https://iowadot.gov/maps/msp/pdf/monroe-co.pdf ). I either have to stop and physically swipe from one county map to the next or wait several minutes/miles for the app to switch into the next county map. 

 

Is there a better way to get this to work??

  Thank you for your interest in Avenza Maps!
   
  If you have the folder your maps are in set to a 'Collection' the app should automatically switch between maps in that collection when you traverse map boundaries. However, as to why its taking several minutes/miles for this to happen, the Iowa Dot maps have a significant amount of white space around each map, along with the map collars/white borders, which is also georeferenced. With these maps, it is highly likely you have to travel far enough across the white space and potentially the border of one map, and onto the next before the app registers that you are on a different map, and shifts over automatically. On maps with no or very small collars, the app does register the change right away and shifts over to the appropriate map. There are many free maps in our Map Store, that may work better for your required purpose.
