Avenza wont open in airplane mode

Just yesterday Avenza on my android phone has ceased opening in airplane mode. It tries to take me to the google play store and then says something to the effect of "this app is not available right now". How can I fix this? I tried logging out and checking for updates but so far, nothing has worked.
