Do downloaded maps expire?

Do downloaded maps expire after a certain period of time?  In other words, what happens if you load them onto a device but that device doesn't connect to the internet for months or years?  Will I still be able to see and use the downloaded map?  I'm happy to pay for the initial download.  I just don't want my maps to disappear because I'm in a remote area.

  Hi Tim, 

  Downloaded maps do not expire after a certain period of time once purchased. You can continue to use them on your device, even if you don’t connect to the internet for months or years. Just ensure you’re logged into your Map Store account before making a purchase so that the map is tied to your account.

  If you ever switch devices or accidentally delete your maps, you can always access them again through your download history! 

  To access your download history, you can follow these steps:

  - Open the Avenza Maps app
  - Ensure you're in your "My Maps" tab 
  - Tap on the Head/Bust icon (top of the screen)
  - Login, if not already
  - Tap on Download History > Select the maps you want to download
