Avenza won't launch

I have used Avenza successfully for a number of years.  This morning I tried to open my app on my Galaxy Tab Active 3.  I got an error message that the app has a bug and to update it.  There is no update in the app store.  I cleared the cache and rebooted the device.  Still won't load.  I don't want to uninstall then reinstall.  I have well over a hundred maps and countless layers that would have to be reinstalled and organized in a several folders.  Help!
