Android / Apple Carplay connectivity Ford Sync

I and many at my company use Avenza in our pickups to navigate around site, I would like the ability for Apple Carplay connectivity so we can utilize the Vehicle display instead of trying to use the small phone screen when doing so. Navigation Apps like Waze has such a function, be nice if Avenza did too

  Thank you for your post, and for using Avenza Maps, it is appreciated!
   
  We currently do have a feature request filed for Avenza Maps integration with car navigation and entertainment platforms such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. At this time we are not compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, our developers are working on it and unfortunately, I do not have a timeline on a compatibility update.
   
  I have gone ahead and added you to the request ticket. You will be notified when it is implemented in an updated version of the app via email.

  Any updates on progress towards Android Auto functionality? It's definitely a major shortcoming.

  This is also a key issue I have - if you add Android Auto I will most likely make Avenza my default tool.
  Since six months have passed, do you have any other timing updates that you might be able to share?
  
  Is there any way to also be added to the ticket so I might be notified?

  It's been over 2 years. Will avenza compete with the other GPS apps that work with Android auto?

  Just would like to voice my support for this feature.  There is a vast difference in usability between having to squint at a tiny phone screen vs having the map on my vehicle's large integrated display, where I can always glance over and instantly see which direction I should go when navigating tangled networks of backroads.

  I would really like CarPlay support in Avenza. I travel extensively off road where there is no cellular connectivity. Is there any update on support for this feature?

  Hi Avenza, 

  Any updates on the progress on integrating Avenza with Android Auto?  As outlined by the other users, this is a key feature that would lead to greater use by existing users (and higher satisfaction) and also higher uptake by new users.  I have been out in the field a fair bit lately, and quite a few of my colleagues said they'd only start using Avenza once this connectivity was available.  

  I'm hoping that some progress has been made in the more than two years since the original request was posted?   Would be great if users could be kept in the loop as to when this might eventuate.

  I'm in North Dakota using Avenza to view the NDGF public lands map.  Sure wish I could project via Android auto onto my truck screen!  Currently I'm resorting to onx hunt.
