finding a map
Why not let the search window be used to find a map? I could enter say, Tehachapi Ca. 93561, and hit enter, then a map of that area be search result?
I would use this app to travel, when entering a region, I would enter the name of that region, say, Hwy 40 and state highway 89a. or just northern Arizona, or Coconino National Park.
If I knew I was entering a no cell signal area, before entering I could search, find, download, save. Then when I'm in a no signal zone, I would go to that map list in this app, chose the area I'm in and Wa-La, I see the roads and listed features of the map I downloaded..

Hi Greg,
Thank you for your question. You should first make sure you tap on the map store icon (you will see a shopping cart icon near the bottom of the screen). After that you can search maps via the search bar or by map area. For example this link offers images and steps for searching on an iOS device - https://support.avenzamaps.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035183732-Getting-Maps-from-the-Map-Store.
We do recommend users search and download all their needed maps before heading out to an area where there is no internet connection to download or redownload maps.
Thank you!
