1-click Airdropping of visible map features only
Hello, as a Wildland Firefighter I have used Avenza Maps every day on the job for several years now. I have one feature suggestion that I know will make sharing information between first responders a lot more efficient. Thanks to the Airdrop feature I can share detailed PDF maps that I’ve created to firefighters from outside my work unit who are arriving at a fire in my jurisdiction. I also have a lot of layers I’ve collected from around my county that are pertinent to firefighting efforts such as waterhole locations, previous wildfire burn scar polygons, private gate locations, and much more. The feature that I’d like to propose is adding an 1-click option to airdrop only layers that are visible and located on whatever map I’m using in Avenza. Currently if I want to airdrop my layers I have the options to either airdrop all layers (which includes everything that isn’t on the map I’m exporting) or to create a custom list (which takes a lot of time to find each layer since I have a lot of folders/layers). One alternative I have at the moment is to just create a new folder in Avenza for each wildfire I go to and make copies/consolidate each of the layers I already have on my map before airdropping the folder. I don’t have a problem doing this but it would be a lot quicker to be able to just have a feature that allows us to airdrop only the layers that are visible on our map with 1 click.
