Pdf maps not importing into Avenza App.
I am trying to import a pdf map into the Avenza app from a file location on my iPhone (as I have done many times before) and instead of importing the map I am redirected to the Avenza website. I have a current Pro subscription paid up till May 2026.
The only way I can import a pdf map now is to use the import from the web option and paste in the URL of the map’s location from the provider of the pdf map. The provider of the pdf map is an Australian Government Department and I have used their pdf maps in the Avenza App for many years without issue.
Please advise what has caused this change and how to rectify.
Regards,
Shane

Hello Shane,
We have been able to identify this issue and there is a temporary workaround which should restore the importing custom map function.
Here are the steps to fix the import issue:- Open Avenza Maps and go to Settings.
- Tap General > Debug Settings.
- Select Avenza Map Store Settings.
- Under Default Address, enter: mapstore.avenza.com
- Save your changes by going back.
Once changed, the settings can be exited and the changes will be saved. From there, you can attempt a custom map import once more via any of the import methods (i.e. email, device storage, cloud storage, etc.), and it should function as expected.Comment actions
