Subscription Passwords

Subscription passwords provide an additional level of security that can be added to your Avenza Maps Subscription Account. Adding a password is optional, and by default the password space is left blank (no password added). If you do not wish to use a password, please continue to leave this field blank when registering devices with your subscription..  

If you want to take advantage of this added level of security, prior to adding a password, please ensure that all users have the latest version of the app.  Once a password is created, users of the app with that subscription ID will be required to enter this password the next time they sign into Avenza Maps in order to continue using the app.

Also, please note that passwords added to a subscription ID, will not automatically transfer to any temporary subscriptions.  If you want to have a password applied to the temporary subscriptions, this will have to be added using the steps below.

If a user is using an older version of the app (3.0 or earlier) and a password has been implemented on the account, the license will become disabled until such time as the app is updated and the password is entered.

Creating a Subscription Password

1. Login to the Subscription Server and click on next to your subscription name.
   
   
2. Enter your new password in the Subscription Password field and click Save.
