Geofencing Settings (Android)

In the Geofencing Settings menu, users can specify the notification duration as well. This can be accessed from the Avenza Map Settings > Geofencing. This timer will allow the user to determine how long the app will continue to show geofencing notifications (for a triggered geofence).

In order to receive notifications, Avenza Maps will also need to have permission to allow notifications. This permission can be accessed from the device Settings page. Avenza Maps will follow the sound permissions users currently have set on the device, for example, if the device is set to ‘Do not disturb’ then Avenza Maps will not make sound notifications. If the device is set to full volume, then users will hear their geofence notifications.

iOS doesn’t have an option to set the duration of notifications, so this setting only exists for Android users.
